Fabian Wahler has a successful career as senior manager/department head and project manager in the automotive industries. During his professional career in Germany and Asia, he builds up new departments and managed complex development project on an international scale. Beside his work he is pursuing a doctoral degree in International Business Management. His research focuses on decision making, artificial intelligence, integration of technology and human in decision-making process of the future.

01/2021 - present
Department Head System Project Management

Establish and develop a new department for all technical project management tasks. Therefor 20 new people had been recruited internally and externally.

  • Established completely new department from bottom-up incl. all necessary process definitions

  • Improved skills and knowledge of all employees to enable them to lead the project technical wise

  • Complete budget responsibility for all development related efforts as well as capacity planning

  • Established a system approach to generate synergies between projects/programs to increase cross margin of all projects

  • Directly reporting to the CTO of the company in terms of process and organizational development


2017 – 2020:Senior Project Manager/Global Project Manager

Direct commercial and technical task for international development projects of €1B and €300M total turnover. Establish and develop a single team to manager all on-going projects, improving project delivery and productivity. Plan and organise meeting with clients, third parties, and project managers to report progress. Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
2014 – 2017:Technical Project Manager, Development Engineer

Analysed, planned, and developed requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects. Monitored project progress continuously and made detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables. Communicated proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
