Andrea Schmitt, VP Partner Management p.p. at Deutsche Glasfaser Unternehmensgruppe, Doctoral Candidate PhD, Graduate from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)

Andrea is Vice President Partner Management at Deutsche Glasfaser Unternehmensgruppe and an authorized representative of the  company. With her team she manages performance and quality of the general contractors rolling out fiber (FTTx) on behalf of Deutsche Glasfaser across Germany.

Andrea spent half of her more than 20 years lasting career in Telecommunications industry. She was appointed to several Vice President positions at Deutsche Telekom’s service units including operations steering of call centers and field service as well as vendor management. She lead more than 700 people.

The other half of her career she spent with the management consulting branche of Tier 1 consultancy Accenture. She focused on IT and strategic transformation programs of the Chemical industry in the marketing, sales and service area.

Andrea is an experienced, flexible practitioner, passionate people leader and proven, precise manager of projects and line organizations alike.
She decided to pursue a doctoral degree at EIM (PhD in Management). She is writing her dissertation about the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to accelerate results of virtual teams.

Andrea holds a diploma degree in business administration and industrial engeneering from the university of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
