Career Impact
Open Doors to Leadership in Healthcare and Academia
A doctoral degree is the strongest credential you can hold in healthcare research and higher education. Graduates of EIM’s PhD in Healthcare Studies move into senior academic positions — professorships, programme directorships, deanships — as well as principal investigator roles, clinical research leadership, health policy advisory positions, and independent consultancy. The rigorous training in research design, data analysis, and evidence-based practice makes PhD holders highly sought after across universities, hospitals, health systems, government agencies, and the life sciences sector.
After completing the PhD, you can further strengthen your academic profile with EIM’s PGCert in Academic Research and Publication or the PGCert in Technology-Enhanced Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. Holders of both PGCerts are recognised as Lecturers in Higher Education — qualified to teach and research at universities across Europe.
