Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jörg Winterberg

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jörg Winterberg has been working for more than 30 years in the field of higher education. After a career in political counselling and as a professor in economics and economic policy he has been working as Dean, Vice-President, and as Rector in public and private universities in Germany. With his teams, he has founded private universities in Europe and Latin America. He is member of several university councils in different countries and a distinguished expert in university management and accreditation in higher education, nationally and internationally.
He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany, and an honorary Ph.D from Linköping University, Sweden. He is one of the originators of the CORE-principle, an award-winning pedagogical approach, that has been invented by SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg, Germany.
