On October 4, 2025, the Fraport Lounge at Frankfurt Airport became a place of celebration, reflection, and reconnection as the European Institute of Management (EIM) hosted its annual Graduation Ceremony. With panoramic views of departing aircraft and the glow of the setting sun, the scene offered a perfect metaphor for the graduates’ next chapter: poised for departure, yet deeply connected to where their journey began.
From the first arrival, the atmosphere was one of warmth and reunion. The soon to be Graduates were greeted by their professors and full of anticipation of the evening, alumni arrived from across Europe, Canada and the US, and families gathered to share in the moment. The first highlight of the evening came with the formal speeches delivered by EIM’s CEO Prof. Dr. Michael Neubert and EIM´s Rector Prof. Dr. Dr. hc Jörg Winterberg, whose words resonated deeply with graduates and guests alike.
In his address, Prof. Dr. Neubert congratulated the graduates not only for their academic performance but for their perseverance and adaptability—qualities that, he noted, define successful leaders in today’s world. Throughout his individual support many students were able to achieve something big.
“The degrees you receive tonight are a testament not just to your knowledge, but to your courage to evolve,”he said. “The world is changing rapidly, and EIM graduates are those who meet that change with insight, ethics, and resilience.”
Rector Prof. Dr. Winterberg reflected on the broader significance of education in shaping both careers and character. His message was one of continuity: that the pursuit of learning extends far beyond the classroom walls. He addressed not only the significance of higher education but also to the responsibility of graduate´s achievements
A Lifelong Academic Journey
EIM’s academic structure is designed to accompany professionals through every stage of their development—from the MBA to the DBA and PhD programmes. This pathway allows students to build upon their knowledge step by step, advancing their expertise while maintaining their careers.
“Education at EIM doesn’t stop at graduation,” noted Prof. Dr. Neubert, Academic Director at EIM. “Many of our graduates continue into higher degrees or return as lecturers. That continuity strengthens not only their careers, but also the academic community itself.”
Throughout the evening, the sense of continuity was unmistakable. Besides the friends and family of all graduates, many of the guests celebrating were familiar faces: former students who had returned as lecturers, mentors, or doctoral researchers. Their presence captured the essence of EIM’s philosophy—education as a lifelong pursuit. For the graduating class, the evening marked the end of an important chapter—but also the beginning of many more. Conversations drifted easily between reflections on challenging coursework and excitement for future projects, research, and professional opportunities. The diversity of career paths represented among the graduates—from corporate leadership to entrepreneurship and academia—was a reminder of how broad and dynamic the EIM network has become.
An Evening to Remember
As dinner was served and the lights of the runway shimmered beyond the glass walls, stories flowed freely. Graduates reminisced about balancing demanding jobs with coursework, about the friendships formed through teamwork, and about professors who pushed them to think beyond convention
The Fraport Lounge, with its view of constant movement and possibility, was the perfect setting to celebrate a community built on ambition and learning. Each departing graduate left with more than a degree—they left with a network, a shared experience, and a lifelong invitation to keep growing.
